My Style

If you’re going through a tough time, a challenging situation or just need a safe, non-judgmental place to be heard, understood and supported, you’ve come to the right place.  As your therapist, I consider it my highest duty and privilege to support you in a nurturing environment and empower you with the tools you need to live a happier, more fulfilling life. 

My style is interactive, positive and warm. I utilize tools from a variety of modalities customized for YOU - drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy, positive psychology, mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy and expressive arts (music, performance and therapeutic writing). I work with people from all walks of life - from judges and attorneys to students and professors, to homemakers, business people, artists and many more.

Duration and Location

In our work together in counseling, an assessment session is 60 minutes, and follow-up sessions are 45-50 minutes.  I currently see clients in Westfield and Livingston, New Jersey and am also available for counseling sessions via telephone or Skype for residents in New Jersey, New York and India.  I am available for coaching sessions to anyone within the United States or internationally via Skype.

Other Appropriate Services
Some clients may not be going through a difficult time,  but instead are looking to move their life to the next level.  With these clients, coaching is the most appropriate service I can provide.  Some of these clients may begin in counseling and after having reached a point where they feel emotionally strong often decide to start on a journey of coaching with me.

Crisis Groups (CISDs)
As a psychotherapist, I am highly trained in responding to crisis and traumatic incidents.  I have extensive experience in providing CISDs (critical incident stress debriefings) to survivors of tragedies such as 9/11, the Staten Island ferry accident, bank robberies, and other traumatic events in the workplace. I am available to provide crisis counseling to employees of organizations in a CISD format followed up by individual sessions where appropriate.
